Your First Appointment
Your Colleyville dentist and team take their time to deliver a fully customized treatment plan.
Welcome to your new dental home, where you’re not just a number and our goal is to be your dental care partner for life. Here’s what to expect at your first visit (please reserve 90 minutes for your appointment).
-
Step 1: Let’s get to know each other.
Our friendly team … Click to go to the meet us page … will greet you and make you feel at home. We’ll collect your new patient forms, or you can complete them in the office. If there’s anything you need, just let us know.
-
Step 2: Say cheese! Time for necessary radiographs and photos.
We’ll complete a series of oral photos and a full mouth series of radiographs and panorex. These help us understand your dental health, including bone levels supporting teeth, sinuses, and typical structure. Our team looks for any abnormalities, so we can address them right away.
-
Step 3: We perform a periodontal examination.
Your gums are just as important as your teeth!
That’s why Dr. Egger and the team perform a full periodontal exam, which is a visual map where to help determine where you are in the line from healthy gum tissue, gingivitis, or periodontal disease.
We record pocket depths, bleeding points, and areas of recession where the root is exposed. -
Step 4: Receive a comprehensive dental exam.
Dr. Egger performs a comprehensive exam which includes a full 30 minutes for the examination and discussion about the best recommendations for your needs. In addition, he creates a dental chart that notes any issues, past treatments, and areas to watch.
We’ll also have time for any questions or concerns and will let you know if you need a referral to a specialist (like an oral surgeon, orthodontist, periodontist, or endodontist).
-
Step 5: Learn about the next steps.
If you require treatment … Click to go to the services page … , we’ll explain your options along with timelines and costs. Together, we’ll find the most efficient way to schedule your appointments.
If your treatment plan is somewhat complex, we also offer a complimentary treatment conference and are happy to have any family member that you approve sit in and listen as well.

Payment & Financing
Dr. Egger wants to help you achieve your best smile.
As a fee-for-service dentist, Graham T. Egger, DDS accepts PPO … Click to go to the home page … insurance; however, we are not considered a contracted or in-network provider.
Some dental patients feel restricted by their dental insurance because they cannot select a provider that offers the level of quality care they seek. By working outside of the network, our office can charge a fair and fixed rate for procedures rather than have our fees managed and dictated by a third-party insurance provider. You’re in control.
Acting as a fee-for-service dentist allows our Tarrant County dental office to utilize the highest quality labs and materials rather than being forced to select lower-quality products and facilities in order to meet cost restrictions placed by insurers. As a result, our patients will be able to receive excellent care that isn’t restricted by an insurance contract.
How does it work?
As a fee-for-service dentist, we do accept PPO insurance; however, we are not considered a contracted or in-network provider. Our office will prepare and file insurance claims on your behalf, but we do not render services based on the assumption that an insurance company will pay our fees in full. The patient is responsible for any copays, deductibles, and the remaining cost of any services not fully covered by insurance.
Your estimated out-of-pocket payment is due at the time service is rendered.
Any remaining balance after insurance has paid their portion is your responsibility and will be due within 30 days.
What’s the advantage for patients?
While we realize that fee-for-service dentistry can be a deterrent for some individuals when seeking out a new dentist, the truth is, that when you need the best care at a competitive rate, it truly provides both you and our dental office more freedom in regard to what’s possible for your smile.
Additionally, fair pricing allows us to select the best dental procedures and methodologies rather than the ones that will “only fit into the plan’s package.” If you have any questions, we’re only a phone call away. Please contact our Colleyville, TX dental practice at 817-656-9366.
Access the best dental care at an affordable price with our competitive fixed rates and multiple payment options.
Our dental practice works closely with you to find a treatment plan that gives you the most value. While we’re fee-for-service, we help maximize benefits through PPO insurance plans plus offer affordable payment options. Graham T.
